A great way to start of the new trimester with a visit to the theatre! .La Boite Theatre are offering $10 tickets to APAC students for preview performances of Blue on Thursday 16 May and Friday 17 May at 7.30pm.
Blue, a poignant coming-of-age story, written and performed by Logie and AACTA award winner Thomas Weatherall (also known as Malakai from Heartbreak High), will make it’s Queensland debut at La Boite from 16 May to 1 June.
Blue is a work of deeply personal fiction, drawing inspiration from Weatherall's own experiences as a young adult, and invites audiences to delve deep into the heart of a young man's journey as he navigates the challenges of grief, loss and finding his place in the world.
Directed by Deborah Brown (a graduate of APAC), award-winning dancer and choreographer and Bangarra Dance Theatre alumnus, the physicality interwoven through Weatherall’s performance in Blue brings multi-layered storytelling not to be missed.
