Dear APAC Staff and Students,

I truly hope this email finds you and your families safe and well in challenging times. The Executive have met and, based on the intelligence we have through official sources, including around 300,000 homes in our staff and student catchment without electricity, trains not running and some schools closed, we have decided that APAC will remain closed tomorrow (with NO learning from home)on Monday 10 March, 2025 only at this stage

All access to the campus remains unavailable during the closure.

Please know that we are here to support one another, and as always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me via my mobile at 0435 535 643. I am available 24/7.

Please continue to prioritise the safety of your family during this time and take appropriate precautions. If you are feeling overwhelmed or need professional counselling support during this time, please remember that APAC has the Access Employee Assistance Program (Access EAP), available to all staff and students free of charge. Phone 1800 818 728 and let them know you’re from APAC (also known as Performing Arts Education) and they’ll be able to offer you support anonymously.

Lastly, I will update everybody again with information for Tuesday on Monday 10 March at 6pm. The later time enables us to have access to the most up-to-date information. Until then,

Stay safe.

Yours sincerely,

Chris Harris

Chief Executive Officer
